This was a Birthday gift for my son. He says it works great.

Ordering was straightforward, time to ship was understandable for being across a holiday. Choice of carriers resulted in 7 days in transit across the MidWest.
The manual is correct in use caution around the plaincut edges of the lid, hopper opening, and the catch cup as they are too sharp to call this product well-finished.
Takes around 160 turns of the crank to coarse grind 2.5 coffee spoons of beans. There is a certain satisfaction from the visceral feeling of crushing said beans. ;)
Would I recommend this product to a friend or loved one? Sure, but I'd put the above caveats in with the recommendation so they could make an informed decision.

Still waiting on my javapress to arrive. DHL shipping is a poor decision for shipping. I just ordered another grinder on Amazon. If it arrives before javapress I will be returning the javapress. Poor shipping choice.

Works great, designed very well

So this is my first grinder. I did some research and was really attracted to this manual burr grinder. I love being able to know my coffee is fresh and that I can control the grind size. It was pretty simple to figure out. I love it. I look forward to experimenting with different types of beans. It seems that this company is passionate about quality coffee experiences.

This purchase restored my belief in the grinder. I can remove the cover and it has been consistent. The last two behaved erratically by getting finer and finer grind without my doing anything. Also, the caps were so tight that I could not remove them. In rime I could.
David H.
I'm so glad to have my grinder! This is my second one and it still works beautifully as the first. Some of the parts seem be machined ever so slightly different in this newer one though, because there's a teeny bit of wiggle when operating. All that said though, it still works fantastic.

I've been very happy with my burr grinder from JavaPresse. It's added so much to my morning routine and my coffee's flavor; JavaPresse provides plenty of resources and videos on how to use this product and the different grind settings make it perfect for all varieties of coffee beans.
Randy N.
It is a learning experience to get the proper grounds texture. However the results are wonderful. I use a stovetop Moca Pot and it is great for that.
Nikyla W.
I love the whole process of hand grinding my coffee. Only thing I would recommend is adding some me grippy aspect to the grinder. It’s very hard to hold onto and slips around in my hand. Meanwhile, I have put rubber bands where I hold the grinder and that helps. Looks goofy though

This grinder works great in our new traveling coffee kit!

I bought this same product a few years back via Amazon, and wouldn't consider any other, does agreat job and has exactly what I need, no more, no less. Congrats on a great product.

Thank you

I’ve been using the grinder since 2015. It’s been absolutely ideal as I’m the sole coffee drinker at home and do love the flavor of fresh ground coffee. Nice grind variations, easy to use, store, and pack on trips. Nice slim shape for my tiny hands. And I don’t have to fuss with a plug or the deafening noise of electric grinders.
Aditya P.
This grinder takes a lot longer than you think; and a lot longer than the company video makes it out to be. They refer to 2-3 minutes as the starting point, well yes if you're only grinding for 1 cup at the coarsest setting. I used 32 g of beans and set it to the recommended 12 clicks for a Chemex, and timed my grinding twice with a stopwatch - twice over 2 weekends - each time it took 7 minutes and 15 seconds. I took breaks every minute to rest my hands which is a good idea so the total time was about 10 minutes. I used the hack in the company video which is to rotate both your hands, so managed about 3 revolutions in 2 seconds to give you an idea of my speed. Tip: if tilting the device for a more comfortable position while grinding, then after about 5 minutes, flip it over and shake it so that the beans settle back equally in the three partitions at the bottom - if you don't the partition towards the top will empty out and then you're not grinding efficiently.
It makes an excellent cup of coffee though; like drinking properly brewed long-leaf tea. I drink 2 cups a week so one session of grinding and hopefully over time I'll look forward more to the activity. If I were a daily drinker, I'd definitely get a good electric burr grinder. I haven't reached that zen mindset of being able to take out 10 minutes on a rushed weekday morning to grind. Maybe one day...

Easy to use and grinds both french press and pour over cone filter.

Great grinder! Versatility and consistency is what makes this product so great! My only complaint is that it is very fragile. Make sure you have some spare washers and an extra burr on hand! The base will, at times, separate from the frame, but it can be reassembled with a little patience and a dab of super glue!
I still gave this product a 5 star review. It may not be perfect, but it is still the best manual burr grinder on the market, that I have found. $40 is a bit spendy, but I think it is worth it. Similar products at a cheaper price are noticeably inferior.
Cynthia H.
I really like the grinder, which is why I am so annoyed with its one critical materials flaw. The nylon or plastic piece that seats in the ceramic burr that fits onto the metal rod that turns to grind the coffee is too soft. This causes the metal rod with its ridges that are supposed to catch on the plastic piece to warp the plastic. The ridges no longer grip the plastic that drives the burr, so it stops working. I have had 2 of these grinders, and they both failed after less than 6 months of relatively infrequent use. JavaPresse, please address this flaw, and I will be your biggest fan. Til then, I cannot recommend anyone buy this.
J H.
Great product! I love coffee, and I was bummed to learn that coffee gave me severe (and very painful) acid reflux. Turned out it because pre-ground was too acidic for me.
Conveniently, my partner had also just gotten me this grinder which I have not stopped using since. Not only is my acid reflux gone (even when I screw up and my coffee is all acidic) but it's sparked an interest in the world of coffee making. I've bee experimenting with different grinds and brewing products ever since.
The only thing I think would be nice to see in future iterations would be a small slot (or something else) to be able to put the handle in and keep the grinder all in one piece when storing it.
Aaron B.
This is a great product for anyone looking to start utilizing Burr Grinders without having to shell out the amount it costs for a larger electric grinder or some of the pricier hand grinders on the markeet. It's also perfect for anyone who makes a single cup of coffee at a time and really wants to enjoy that cup.
This grinder has been a great addition to my coffee starter collection and I honestly can't complain about the quality. I will say that it does take at least a few minutes to grind through enough to make a decent pour over but I generally grind around 20g of beans which is enough for just myself and one cup of coffee. The grind that comes through is very consistent and perfect with no chunks or bits left over and the burrs really get the job done with giving you the grind you want.
Dialing in your grind is another story. I followed the guide provided when I got my JavaPresse and the number of clicks recommended for pour over gave me such a coarse grind that it ruined my cup. YOU WILL HAVE TO EXPERIMENT TO DIAL IN YOUR GRIND. Expect to waste at least one good cup of coffee because you found out the grind you had the grinder set at just wasn't right. In my case, I ruined two good cups of beans because my first was too coarse and my second was too fine. However, once I dialed it in, my cups of coffee have been so enjoyable and delicious.
This grinder takes work! You're gonna get a bit of a workout using this grinder but, in my opinion, that's okay. If one good cup is all you're after, you won't mind the grind time nor the mild workout it takes to grind your beans the way you want them. That said, the grind is very smooth when it works. I've found that it tends to "catch" every so often on a bean or two but once that bean gets through, the rest is a breeze. Take the time to grind while you heat your water and by the time it's heated, you'll have your grounds and you'll be ready to brew.
Overall, if you're looking for an inexpensive starter grinder for experimentation, this grinder is gonna be the one for you. It's enough for a simple pour over or aeropress. Just expect to put in a little work and time fine tuning your grind to achieve perfection.
Thomas C.
Overall it is a nice product. Handles well, not bulky. I bought two. I was a little disappointed that it was made in China. I rather not support the CCP. It would be great to see it being made in America, supporting our Economy. Thanks. Tom

Makes our mornings that much better!

I grind my coffee while simultaneously doing "health bounces" on a rebounder. I switch between turning the handle with my right hand and then my left hand. Perhaps creating new synapses!? I also use the Manual Burr Coffee Grinder to grind cardamom to add to my coffee in the morning. Great product!
Kurt G.
I've had the grinder for about a month and love it. It is very nicely made and does a great job grinding the beans. The only drawback is the time it takes. It takes me 3 1/2 minutes for my Aeropress, but I'm hooked on how good it is with the freshly ground coffee.
Allen D.
Does a nice job and it's a pleasure to use. For 2 T of medium grind, it takes a full 2 minutes, so be prepared to get some exercise.
Maria A.
Works well! And customer service was quick and friendly. They did everything to make sure I got my product all the way in interior Alaska.
Anthony R.
It sturdy, easy to use and clean. I'm able to generate course to very fine grinds all evenly sized.
I do hope the ceramic conical burr becomes available soon on the Java Press website.
ROBERT N.
This is just what I wanted. 95% noise eliminated. The other ear splitting coffee grinder is collecting dust.
Fresh ground one cup or 2 at a time. The smell and sound of cracking beans is just amazing.
I've never noticed that great smell with the ear splitting machine I have.
It also makes a weak handshake much stronger.
Love the metal container. Beans in the top and ground coffee in the bottom. Easy to adjust to fine or course. Just twist cogged nut. Simple. Now I can just smell that aroma , I gotta grind a cup. And strong as you like it.
I have a funnel made from a water bottle top. Perfect fit. Add a Tablespoon of beans quickly and grind away.
Thanks for the great grinder.
It's a grind time for a cup of coffee !!

Boyfriend loves the grinder. Is experimenting the best grind settings for aero press use.

Where we live, on Maui, there are frequent power outages during the hurricane season and during the rainy season. Before the Javapresse Manual Burr Coffee Grinder, oncoming bad weather meant we had to remember to grind our coffee in the evening, before bedtime. A few times we've had black tea rather than espresso at breakfast. Not a good way to start the day! Thank you Javapresse!

I started grinding my own coffee when I started to stay home from work this year. This is my first coffee grinder and I'm really happy with it! It takes some trial and error to find the grind setting that I like for each type of coffee bean I use, but once I find it, the grinder does a great job. My one issue is that it can be difficult to put back together once it is deconstructed for cleaning. I found the instructions provided online and in the box to be more confusing than helpful. Thankfully, I have been able to re-build the grinder to be able to continue using it. Very happy with this and would recommend to new coffee grinders!
Robert B.
I like the design a lot, especially the “friction-closure” way the parts fit together and the simplicity/quality of the grinding element itself. I was a little surprised at the time/effort required to grind the coffee for a single cup; but I quickly adjusted to that circumstance and have even begun using the grinding time as a moment for a “mini-meditation”. Furthermore, I love being able to perform this task without the aid of yet another electricity-powered machine that merely clutters up my life.
Rebecca H.
Wonderful costumer service!
I purchased a coffee grinder. Within two months, the insert came out. I contacted Java Presse for a replacement and they quickly and kindly sent another off in the mail for me. Their costumer service is what you wish for in a company. Thank you, Java Presse!
John H.
It does what it is supposed to do: gives consistent grinds at a range of coarseness settings. My main sticking points are that it is a bit slow (but can be sped up with a drill or even grinding twice from coarse to fine), it is not the most ergonomic or comfortable to use, and inner sleeve in the top chamber separated in my model, rendering the grinder useless until customer service graciously shipped me a new one for free.
All in all, if you don't mind a bit of fuss, it gives good control and an immersive coffee experience. There are many more hand grinders on the market now, and I have not tried any others, so I cannot say how they compare.

When my old Braun blade grinder spun its last cup, I knew it was time for a change.
After a few research sessions (who doesn’t love Amazon at the moment), I kept coming back to the JavaPresse burr grinder. Great reviews, excellent customer service comments and a well engineered product, how could you go wrong. This has been a game changer for me!
My preferred brewing method changes from time to time, from cold brew, a Yama vacuum brewer, Bodum French Press or an Aeropress, and my JavaPresse grinder gives me a consistent base every cup. The ability to fine tune the grind, as well as the simple cleaning process just adds to the overall greatness of this tool. For me, my cup of coffee is as much about the process as it is the final product. The aroma of the fresh ground beans as well as the rhythm of the grind is a great way to begin the journey. The ability to fine tune the grind for my brewing method du jour just adds to my love of this beautifully designed and well made appliance.

Usually have my coffee at work, but now working from home due to Covid. Needed my coffee, and didnt want instant coffee, so bought a bag of beans, a drip filter/cup, and the Javapresse manual grinder. Couldnt be happier with my grinder!
Nicole O.
Overall I am happy with this grinder. I bought it to use along side my Aeropress, and was in the market for an affordable hand grinder that wouldn't take up a lot of space. Two design notes that I think would elevate the grinder: include a rubber or silicone (or something) part to hold the grinder handle when not in use; and ditch the plastic view window. Having a way to keep the handle in place while storing would be a nice touch to keep all things in order, especially while traveling. I use a hair elastic to keep the handle with the grinder and while it works it isn't very elegant. Secondly, I think that for future designs, the plastic view point should be ditched. With a hand grinder, you know when you have grinded all your beans because the resistance is gone when cranking. So the view window isn't necessary. Plus the plastic inlay makes it harder to clean (not like super hard, but like enough that I often reach for a toothpick or straw brush to clean the grooves inside). Just having the stainless steel bottom even as an optional switch would be great so the consumer can choose would be great.
For the price, it works very well and is great for budget-minded coffee consumers. I bought mine with the 3 coffee bag combo as I am new to homebrewing and wanted to see which types of roast I prefer. With the combo deal, I don't know what anyone would buy a portable hand grinder anywhere else.
M. D.
it's simple, works well and consistently, and doesn't take up too much room in my small kitchen.
Jody V.
My kid got this as a grad gift a few years back. As a non coffee drinker it missed the mark, but his coffee loving mom was stoked! Fast forward three years later when he comes home for an extended Covid-19 visit and discovers he loves coffee! Now he wants his grinder back! I ordered his a few weeks ago and it arrived promptly and in good condition. He lifted it in the box and we’re still using my, scratch, his old one. Three years and going strong!
Julianna R.
The grinder is easy to use and grind the beans and the little booklet that comes with it is very helpful. Definitely requires a little adjusting to get the grind you like, but it's easy to adjust and take apart and clean.

After accidentally grabbing a bag of whole bean coffee, twice, I found myself in need of a grinder. I did my research and the JavaPressé was a favourite among consumers, reviewers, and coffee shops. I decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did! I’m so impressed with this coffee grinder! It’s small, easy to handle, works very well and is easy to clean and care for. If that’s not enough, the difference it makes in the quality of coffee is amazing! Fresh ground is so much better than pre-ground. I’ll never go back! The fact that it’s a burr grinder also makes a difference in taste and I love it. The hand you hold the canister with can get tired, but unless you’re grinding enough beans to fill the whole reservoir, it’s not that bad. It also grinds a good amount of coffee in less than 10 minutes. I recommend this grinder to anyone.
Lisa G.
I like it. It is portable and easy to use, small and quiet!
Harold W.
It took me several tries to get this fine precision made instrument fine tuned, but it is now and is holding my setting. I am using this grinder several times a day and enjoying a fantastic tasting cup of coffee, you have to break your wrist to keep from having another right away. As a matter of fact several times I had to have that second cup.

I'm in the military, so questionable coffee in the early mornings are pretty standard. In our house, we have an electric grinder. It is very loud to be running at 0530 before our 9 month old is up. Enter in the JavaPresse Manual Burr Grinder. It's quick, quiet, and way more consistent. And that consistency is what leads to a cup of coffee tiers above what I am used to. I love this thing! It's also simple and compact so I can take it anywhere I need it to go. Where has this thing been during my whole career?! Without a doubt, I would recommend this to anyone needing a grinder!

Great grinder and solid customer service
Benjamin N.
All in all, a splendid little grinder and at a very reasonable price. The only reason I'm knocking off a star is that adjusting the coarseness setting is a bit hit and miss. Once you have it dialed in for either Espresso (pretty fine) or French press (course) - the extremes that our household needs to access - it grinds the beans beautifully. What takes a while and some fussing around is getting it back to the opposite setting. Counting the clicks per the instructs only gets you so close. My solution is to buy a 2nd grinder, which I have just done.
Also, the clear plastic liner in the container is about a millimeter or so too tall. It hits the bottom of the hopper, with the result being that the metal parts don't mate smoothly and wiggle while you're grinding. But this is easy to fix: Just slide the plastic liner from the container, carefully mill the top of it with a sanding block and 320/400 grit paper, then put back into the container after washing. After doing this, the metal parts fit snugly and the wiggle is gone.

I would like to have the brochure that comes with it. I had trouble downloading.
I use different coffee makers(pour over , mocha pot, and aeropress). So I am changing the grind and it is easier for me to work with a hard copy.
But I do love using it and love the results.
Michelle M.
Easy to use, store and clean.
Eric F.
I really like this grinder. When filled up, it makes the normal amount I use for a pot of coffee. Easy to put together and use.
One suggestion I'd make though is for some kind of funnel. With the main shaft in the middle, it is hard to get the beans into the chamber for grinding. A funnel that sent the beans around the shaft would really help.
Jamie W.
We bought the grinder for those mornings at anchor on the boat, but found it's great for vacations too. Grinds just enough coffee for 2 good sized mugs and it's cleaner than our electric grinder.
COTTON W.
Simply constructed, no confusion. I just cleaned mine for the first time; so easy!
And, yearly replacement of the burrs is sure to be a cinch!
Thank you for a fantastic & uncomplicated machine!
Emilio P.
The grind size is excellent for chemex or French press and I can taste notes of the coffee that I didn’t before

Great Customer Service
Received the grinder as a gift and it has been great for the last few years. Recently, the pin in the handle managed to fall out and I lost it. Emailed customer service in less than 3 hours since my first email, customer service said they would send a replacement handle.
A great grinder and great customer service.
Thank you again Jacque!

Good Grinder
It's been a week since I got the grinder and it seems to do its job well. The coffee is smooth and I like how it is compact so I can take it everywhere with my Aeropress.
Terryann P.
Easy to Use and a Pleasure to Use
I was used to an electric grinder but the noise always really bothered me. And now the satisfying quiet crunch is a nice way to start the day, as well as the delicious smell of coffee beans! Thanks for a great product! I would recommend this to friends and family.

Manual Burr Grinder
I had been using an electric blade grinder as a once-in-a while very inexperienced coffee drinker and did find that the grind was very inconsistent. I had been getting more interested in pour over brewing for it’s simplicity and decided to try this manual grinder. I am a sucker for well-designed everyday objects, and was very pleased with the quality. The video tutorials and extremely welcoming customer service have inspired me to explore the world of coffee :)

Customer service wins the day
I loved my grinder when I got it. After a few weeks the glue that held the plastic into the body failed. I contacted Raj and in a few days I had a new one in my hand. The customer service of Java Presse is top notch. The grind quality is very consistent and it's a good looking product. The price point is excellent for what you're getting. I would like to see a more adventure friendly version in the future. Perhaps a powder coat finish on the body, parts that screw together, and a more secure way to retain the spring on the shaft. I wish I had this while I was in the Marines.
Virginia B.
I love my grinder!
I bought this grinder after researching lots of options for a hand grinder to use at home and in my office. I'm really impressed with it! And so much supportive info on the website, which is really helpful for a home barista newbie like me. Buy it, you'll love it.

Great Grinder, Awesome Company
I love my JavaPresse Burr Grinder! I bought it a few months back, and I use it daily. I love being able to grind fresh grounds at work. The grinder produces a very even grind, and the coarse setting is perfect for my French Press. It's easy to clean and very portable. I'm already planning to put it in my suitcase on my next trip.
In addition to being a great product, the JavaPresse company is amazing. Shortly after I got the grinder, I lost one of the tiny washers (down the sink) when I was cleaning. Customer Service didn't even hesitate. They immediately sent out a full washer replacement set. I was very impressed with their level of support. I recommend both this product and everything else this company sells.

Manual Burr Coffee Grinder
Excellent customer service, the grinder is in great quality, but there is only problem is the coffee grinder produces a inconsistent grind when it is set to coarse mode. It does great job in grinding coffee from very fine to medium, but I think this grinder is not intended for French press maker. I will be happy to see upgraded version of the grinder, especially in getting rid of the blur wobble

Love my burr grinder
Started using javapresse burr grinder 6 months ago. I can confirm grinding my own coffee makes for a more enjoyable cup of coffee. Not only does this company have amazing products but the customer service is beyond wonderful !
Corey C.
Simple and effective tool
It takes a bit longer then using my electric grinder, but the grind size is much more consistent which makes it more than worth the little bit of extra time and effort. I no longer get the coffee dust that leads to sludge at the bottom of my cup. I'm tossing my electric grinder in favor of this one.
Alex G.
Coffee Grinder
I love your coffee grinder! After plenty of research, yours was the one that had everything coffee enthusiasts recommended. I’m using the same brand of coffee I’ve always used except I made the switch to whole bean. Fresh ground coffee is amazing! I like the different settings that allow me to customize the ground based on my brewing method. I currently use a pour over filter, but I’ll be trying a French press and Aeropress next.
Nathaniel C.
Pleasantly surprised!
The ability to adjust the grind size and the consistency of the the grind were two standouts. Only downside is the time it takes to grind (approximately 8-10 grams a minute). I'll be using this for my camping trips though, so I'll have plenty of downtime.

Coffee Grinder
I recently purchased a manual grinder from JavaPresse, because of many positive reviews on Amazon. I initially had some trouble figuring out how to set the grind setting properly, and then grinding my first batch. I thought it might be something amiss with the grinder, although I really wasn't sure about that at all. I emailed the company, not really seeking a refund or a replacement, but mostly to see if they had any tips. To my surprise, they sent a new grinder and refunded my money. The new grinder works great, and I have now become addicted to grinding my coffee manually, which is kind of a therapeutic exercise. The coffee seems to taste better. Because of this excellent service, I decided to sign up for the coffee club. I just ordered my first bag. I am sold on this company because of the customer service, and can't wait to receive my first bag of coffee beans!

Immediate fan
Bought this grinder (along with a French press and coffee subscription) for the office as an alternative to our unfortunate K-cup situation and I'm an immediate fan. It's portable, quiet, and effective. I've already had two people ask me about it, and they plan to buy their own as well.

Great Coffee
Coffee is smooth, I'm still learning about grinding coffee beans to get my perfect brew. The tutorials are very helpful and I love the burr grinder. I am very pleased with the product and the service.

Love this grinder!
After learning about burr grinders, this is the one that I had to try! I am so glad I did! I have been using this grinder everyday for a couple of months and it is amazing! Grinding coffee while waiting for the kettle to be done is such a soothing start to my day. I have tried the recommended grinds for aeropress, pour over and french press... I love the flexibility of knowing whichever grind I want to use it will come out consistent and perfect for my brew. I was nervous to try it, but not for long because the video and information they have for use and maintenance is perfectly helpful. Thank you for a great product!

Love doing business with JavaPresse
What a great company to do business with! Lots of very helpful info on how to use their products on their website, lots of info on optimal coffee brewing for different coffee-making devices (even how to come close to espresso with an AeroPress). While waiting for a product to arrive in the mail, they send emails with links to videos and written info on how to use the product you're about to receive. At other times, occasional emails gushing enthusiasm for coffee and coffee-centered morning routines, all in the format of a personal email from the head of the company. BTW, that person (Raj) actually replies in a timely way to my emailed questions! I felt as though they only had 10 customers, and I was one of them.
What pushed me over the edge to write this review is very unusual (in my experience) for internet businesses: my wife loves good coffee, but her stomach doesn't tolerate caffeine well. So it's decaf for her. As for me, I don't drink coffee at all. And I get annoyed at receiving emails that are not relevant to me. So after purchasing the JavaPresse stainless AeroPress filter and the manual coffee grinder (both of which I recommend), I was really only interested to be alerted when decaffeinated fresh-roasted coffee beans became available (they weren't as of 11/2017). I contacted Raj, and he agreed to eliminate the usual periodic emails to me, but to let me know when they were ready to offer decaf coffee beans. Just what I wanted! And he implemented the change immediately, none of the "it may require 2-4 weeks for the change to take place" that I've often encountered. What a pleasure to do business with JavaPresse!

Grinder, choice of coffee
Well, the service is really good so far. Downside is : vedio says it takes a minute or 2 to grind coffee.. took me more like 10. I have only received one shipment of coffee / Ethiopian _. and alto it was fresh_ its not to my taste. So if a person doesn۪t have a choice of roasts.. not sure thats a good thing.

I love this grinder and purchased one to give my daughter. The package was absolutely STUFFED into my mailbox and the box was crushed. Thankfully the grinder itself was intact. I keep my grinder in its box but that won't be an option for my daughter. Small detail but ... it's the small details.

Why I like the manual grinder
I've used electric burr grinders for a long time, but recently had to change my grinding schedule. After I retired, I started getting up an hour or two before anyone else in the house, and couldn't really crank up an electric grinder without waking everyone. So my (safe) choice was either grind the night before or wait until everyone was up. Now that I have your manual grinder, which is very quiet, and grinds just as well as my electric grinder, I've gone back to grinding right before brewing. Thanks!

Happy Mistake:)
I bought my coffee grinder because I accidentally picked up a bag of whole bean coffee from my local grocery mart. After searching Amazon, I thought the JavaPresse coffee grinder would be a great addition to my coffee routine! Now, I absolutely love my coffee grinder. It makes my mornings special! Each morning I'm happy knowing I'm going to have fresh, fragrant, and delicious coffee. My grinder works perfectly, and the informational how-to videos were very helpful! I've been using my grinder for about two months with no problems.
I just love this company; the friendly e-mails, informational how-to videos, and the blog posts have all been fantastic! I love how involved they are with their customers. Thank you for a wonderful product!

Great introductory burr grinder
After using for a couple weeks the quality of the manual grinder seems high. The grinder is easily cleaned and as simple to use as one would expect. Happy to have made the purchase on my first burr grinder.

3 months and 5000 miles with JavaPresse and AeroPress
We just got back from 3-months and about 5,000 miles in our Class B+ Mercedes Sprinter based RV, covering about 5,000 miles. Twice a day we used our JavaPresse and Aeropress to prepare luscious coffee. We are delighted with the quality of both devices and the superb coffee it produces.

Live it :)))
I purchased the manual burr because in the morning I want to wake up quietly and slowing and an electric grinder doesn't offer that. I received it quickly after ordering and received a very detailed personable email with a video explaining exactly what my shipment will include and how to get started using it. This was helpful since it's my first manual grinder. It was really easy to put together and get the perfect grinding adjustment. It fits easily in my cabinet not taking to much space. I love waking up in the morning to a good cup of coffee.

Best Cheap Burr Grinder
This is a great grinder. Gives you a consistent grind for any brewing method. I can get a fine grind for an espresso or I can go coarse and brew with a french press. It's easily broken down for cleaning and small enough to take anywhere with you. To go more in-depth, check out this comparison review, with photos of the grinds that you can achieve with this bad boy!

Great design, very compact but works like a charm!
I bought the grinder a few weeks ago and I can already tell how much of an impact it is making on my coffee. I used to have a $10 Mr. Coffee electronic blade grinder but the consistency was always uneven and I couldn't ever replicate coffee. With this grinder, I like having the ability to fine tune how coarse/fine I can make my grounds and I love how small and easy it fits in my kitchen! Definitely a great tool in the coffee making process.

Cubicle barista
From their simple and portable manual burr grinder to their words of encouragement and perfect brew guides, JavaPresse takes their coffee life seriously and inspired me that I could be my own cubicle barista. Now it takes me less time overall than I was spending on the break room coffee that I didn't even know was sub-par until I tried my own fresh ground brew.
Their manual conical burr grinder does a great job and slips neatly into my aeropress to take home for a weekend cleaning. Their mesh filter for my aeropress allows more great fresh bean flavor into my mug while still keep out nearly all of the particulates for a clean cup. Their stainless steel pour-over makes an excellent no-fuss drip brew when I'm giving my aeropress a break.
It's obvious that these folks made their products for their own use because they just work, and work well. I have no doubt that they use their own products every day because of the thoughtfulness that has gone in to the design of each -- at least for the 3 I've used. My hat is off to JavaPresse for sharing their craft and making my coffee life both easier and more savory.

Great manual coffee grinder!!
Simple design. Works great, the coarse grind come out perfect. You do have to work with it to find the grind you like. Nice arm workout to grind the coffee but the reward is even better.
